Reading Journals
Thank you to the many students and their families for reading 20 minutes per night Monday through Thursday!!!!
Remember it is impotant that your student is reading nightly and filling out their reading journal. Each week they should earn an easy 5 points toward their reading grade. If they are not completing the log then they are losing points which does affect their grade.
If you have any questions about the log, please contact me.

Social Studies ~ Our place in the world
This week in reading, we read the story The Armadillo from Amarillo. The Armadillo wanted to understand where he was from in the grand scheme of things. Our third grade team tied that story to our Social Studies standards for Geography.
It's important for our children to know that they live in a house, on a street, in a town, in a state, and so.
Have your student focus on their address, state, country, continent, and planet.
